Join us for a casual chat with Maryanne Moodie. Maryanne has attracted a large following across Australia and overseas with her thoughtfully designed and hand-woven wall hangings, as well as her coveted workshops. The Australian-born maker splits time between Brooklyn and Melbourne, and is stopping by 43 Derby Street on her next stint in the latter to share her success story as creative, teacher and entrepreneur.
We'll kick the evening off with a few questions and then open up the discussion, inviting the audience to ask Maryanne questions about her career/life journey. No question is "dumb" at Basic, we encourage the most simple of questions to the most complex. If you'd prefer not to speak on the night, you can submit a question beforehand and we'll ask it for you.
There will be an honesty bar (cash only) selling beers from Sample, wines from Blackhearts & Sparrows and water by Antipodes. 50% of bar profits will be donated to Free to Feed.
